It often happens in life that whenever we are struck by a new idea, we sometimes hit up against a brick wall. A great idea comes to you your heart starts to race and you feel a surge of energy, the need to put thought into action. But then in comes the doubt and all the what ifs ultimately destroying our new idea. It is easy to go from a positive state and get caught up in a cycle of negative thinking like – what if such and such happens? Or so and so may not like the idea or even more debilitating is it really worth it? What we essentially do then is affirm that the idea is not going to succeed.

Let's think about these philosophies for just a moment, what are you currently manifesting into your life? What you believe and accept about yourself and others is exactly what you will attract into your life. If your life seems to be working against you, we need to look at how we may be treating others and on some other level this is because that is the kind of treatment you may think you deserve. You may even be totally unaware of this belief.

 

Where do these beliefs come from? A lot of our beliefs are formulated as a child and we carry them into adulthood even though they may now be highly inappropriate or just simply wrong. Thoughts, judgements and feelings endlessly swirling around in our minds. Thoughts such as: I like this; I don't like that; I am afraid of this; I can't do that; I am unsure about him/her and on and on it goes. This internal dialogue is not random, it is generated from a deep level of your beliefs and assumptions which have been formed and accumulated from the time you were born. Think of some of the negative messages you were given from your parents, relatives, teachers, friends, authority figures or the church. Are these messages still dominating your life now? Are they true? Examine your thoughts and beliefs, are they creating problems in your own life. Change your thinking and change your life – you can transform your life and live the life you have always wanted for yourself.

Affirmations and the power of positive thinking. Affirmations are a very powerful tool in supporting positive thinking and they are very effective in changing our life patterns and outcomes. The benefit of positive thinking is medically well established. Affirmations allow you to consciously harness the power of positive thinking and we can direct it to specific areas of our life that need attention or where you want to bring about change i.e. relationships , health, wealth and happiness.
